SUMMARY:Giacomo Balla at Palazzo de’ Rossi
DESCRIPTION:From Saturday\, September 27\, 2025\, to Sunday\, February 22\, 2026\, Giacomo Balla (1871–1958) will be the protagonist of the 4th edition of In Visita\, the project by Fondazione Pistoia Musei dedicated to the great masters of the 20th and 21st centuries. Curated by Monica Preti and Annamaria Iacuzzi\, with contributions from Elena Gigli and in collaboration with Collezione Credem. \nThe inauguration will take place on Saturday\, September 27 at 5 PM. \nOn this occasion\, Palazzo de’ Rossi | Collezioni del Novecento will host Velmare (1919)\, from the Collezione Credem\, along with two rare examples of tapestry-like canvas paintings\, both titled by Balla Ballucecolormare\, created by the artist around 1924 and belonging respectively to Fondazione Caript and a private collection. \nThese works document an innovative phase of Balla’s Futurist research\, between Viareggio and Rome\, where the theme of the sea is explored through strong lines\, dynamic colors\, and decorative experimentation. This research received wide acclaim in 1925 at the Exposition internationale des arts décoratifs in Paris. \nDetails\nDuring the exhibition\, guided tours\, meetings\, and activities for schools\, families\, and adults will be organized.\nThe exhibition is accompanied by a volume published by Gli Ori – Pistoia. \nEntry is included with the ticket to Collezioni del Novecento. \nInfo\nPistoia Musei
