Every year a lively community of mountain lovers, enthusiasts of the outdoor lifestyle and outdoor sports, but also many curious, gather in the mountains, to “re-connect” to nature and celebrate their passions.
In 2022 the Adventure Outdoor Fest returns, thanks to the contribution of the Caript Foundation, from 29 June to 3 July in San Marcello Piteglio (Pt), on the Tuscany mountains.
In the coming months, a program full of events will be unveiled, including the reconfirmation of the Tuscany Slackline Meeting with hundreds of athletes from all over Italy and some foreign countries; the enhancement of the brand new paths of the Segnavie project, through trekking and trail running activities; the climbing challenge between top climbers on the overhanging walls of Canyon Park.
And more experiences in nature, bikes, courses, workshops, yoga, bushcraft, forest bathing, activities for families and children.
Each appointment will be followed by guides, trainers and professionals who will lead step by step even those who are less experienced or who will experience these activities for the first time, allowing them to approach in a correct, fun and sustainable way.
There will be book presentations, meetings with great athletes, music and outdoor cinema, with spectacular videos from the Adventure Movie Awards.
The call for free participation in the international film competition, also now in its ninth edition, has been open for a few days. As every year, some of the best short and medium-length films of adventure, exploration and outdoor sports on the world scene are expected.
The Adventure Movie Awards have always been the compass that guides and “inspires” the entire event, thanks to the sharing of adventure stories that have the power to broaden the understanding of oneself as an integral part of nature, films and encounters capable of triggering changes social and environmental benefits in our local communities and around the world.
The 2022 prizes will be the Grivel Golden Ax Award (the famous golden ice ax or Piolet D’Or) for the best story/expedition / adventure, the Eco Adventure Award, for the most significant video on the theme of nature and ecology and the No limits to happiness Avard dedicated, together with Dynamo Camp, to the strength, resilience and incredible feats of athletes, explorers and travellers with disabilities.
During the days of the festival, the selected films will be screened in some spectacular natural locations in the Pistoia mountains.
