SUMMARY:Pistoia Blues Festival 2026 - Jethro Tull
DESCRIPTION:Ian Anderson’s Jethro Tull\, a band symbolic of British progressive rock\, return to the stage of the Pistoia Blues Festival on Friday\, 10 July 2026. After their performances in 1999\, 2003 and 2008\, the group once again reaffirms its strong connection with the city. \nThe legendary prog band — creators of masterpiece albums such as Aqualung and Locomotive Breath — will continue the Curiosity Tour in 2026\, dedicated to presenting their latest studio work\, Curious Ruminant. \nAmong the musicians involved are former keyboardist Andrew Giddings and drummer James Duncan\, together with current members David Goodier\, John O’Hara\, Scott Hammond\, and guitarist Jack Clark\, making his recording debut with the group. \nJethro Tull made their debut under this name in 1968 at London’s famed Marquee Club\, quickly winning a wide following with numerous concerts across England. Their success exploded that same summer thanks to performances at the Sunbury Jazz and Blues Festival. Shortly afterward\, the band released their first album\, This Was\, with the original lineup of Anderson\, Cornick\, Bunker\, and Abrahams. \nAfter Mick Abrahams was replaced by Martin Barre\, more than thirty musicians have played with Jethro Tull over the years — a name that continues to thrive. Ian Anderson continues to perform with the band in roughly a hundred shows every year around the world. \nVirgin Radio is the official radio station of the 2026 Tour.\nClick here to discover the full program of the 45th edition of the Pistoia Blues Festival. \nDetails\nBuy tickets online on Ticketone\, Ticketmaster\, Vivaticket\, or at the usual authorized retailers. \nInfo\nPistoia Blues \nPhoto credit: Will Ireland
