A new event enriches the summer in Pistoia: on Monday, July 6, 2026, Enrico Brignano will take the stage in Piazza del Duomo with his new show Bello di mamma!
Bello di mamma! explores, with irony and lightness, our fears, changing times, and the sense of confusion and fragility that often surrounds us. With a unique intimacy, Brignano engages the audience by reflecting on how the figure of the mother can become a key to facing today’s challenges. Moving between past memories and present reflections, he imagines how a mother might respond to the “modern absurdities” that overwhelm us.
At the heart of the show—written by Brignano together with Graziano Cutrona, Manuela D’Angelo, Luciano Federico, and Alessio Parenti—is a simple yet powerful idea: in a fast-changing world full of contradictions and constant demands, everyone, sooner or later, feels the need to return to that primordial embrace that once made us feel safe as children.
From this starting point, Brignano broadens his perspective to the present day: an era where alarming news, pervasive technology, and relentless rhythms coexist with nostalgia for a time when everything seemed clearer. Global challenges—from wars to artificial intelligence and the contradictions of the ecological transition—become both subjects for reflection and material for comedy.
The real challenge, however, is finding an antidote: emotional balance amid the chaos. This is where Brignano’s most authentic language emerges: a style of humor that can be sharp or gentle, ironic or melancholic, but always sincere and capable of bringing order to the disorder of contemporary life.
Bello di mamma! is both a return to the roots of the one-man show and a step forward in Brignano’s storytelling: a personal narrative that becomes collective, speaking to the audience through shared emotions, recognizable fragilities, and a humor that never loses its tenderness. Brignano will be accompanied on stage by a ten-piece orchestra and two backing vocalists.
The event is organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Pistoia, the Bluesin Association, and LEG Live Emotion Group.
The concert is part of the special events included in the Pistoia Blues Festival 2026 program.
