On the stage of Teatro Manzoni in Pistoia, on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 8.30 PM, the Camerata Strumentale di Prato, conducted by Filippo Maria Bressan, together with the Italian National Youth Choir and a cast of soloists, presents one of the most celebrated sacred works in the history of music: Messiah by Georg Friedrich Händel.
The oratorio, divided into three parts and based on the libretto by Charles Jennens, will be performed in the version reworked by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (K. 572), which enriches the score with eighteenth-century orchestral flair while preserving the original’s spiritual depth and dramatic power.
An evening of profound Christmas atmosphere, where Baroque tradition and Classical sensitivity come together to celebrate one of the most beloved masterpieces of the sacred repertoire.
