On Sunday, April 19, 2026, at 4 PM, a great masterpiece of musical theatre returns to the stage of Teatro Manzoni: The Marriage of Figaro by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
This comic opera in four acts, with a libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte, will be performed in a staged version as part of a new production conducted by Daniele Giorgi, with stage direction by Roberto Valerio.
On the podium, the Orchestra Leonore, joined by the R. Maghini Philharmonic Choir of Turin.
With its perfect blend of comedy, irony, emotional depth, and theatrical modernity, Le nozze di Figaro remains one of the most beloved operas in the repertoire. Set over the course of a single day, the plot weaves together love, deception, and social tensions, offering a light yet intelligent portrayal of a world on the verge of change.
