Claudio Baglioni is the first major name announced for the Pistoia Blues Festival 2026, Storytellers section, the showcase dedicated to Italian singer-songwriters.
On Tuesday, 7 July 2026, the evocative Piazza Duomo in Pistoia will host GrandTour – La vita è adesso, the live musical project celebrating the 40th anniversary of the album La vita è adesso, il sogno è sempre. For Baglioni, this marks an important return to the Pistoia stage, 15 years after his last tour.
GrandTour – La vita è adesso promises a unique experience, inspired by the spirit of the Grand Tours: the long educational journeys that, starting in the 18th century, artists, intellectuals, and young aristocrats undertook to broaden their cultural horizons. The art cities across Italy became essential stops for understanding the roots of European civilization and drawing inspiration from their grandeur.
In this Grand Tour, Claudio Baglioni – accompanied by a 20-piece ensemble of musicians and choristers, who recorded the new edition of La vita è adesso, il sogno è sempre in the studio – will perform the album in its entirety for the first time, alongside the greatest hits that have marked his 60-year career, true milestones of Italian popular culture.
Sony Music Italy has released a unique discographic project, available from 6 June on double gatefold vinyl, in four different CD formats, and digitally in Dolby Atmos. The remake of La vita è adesso, il sogno è sempre è sempre reinterprets eleven tracks with contemporary sounds and styles, while preserving the original essence and artistic intent. Each track was re-recorded and sung live in the studio, with all musicians and vocalists present simultaneously, creating a direct narrative connection between the original project and today’s vision.
The event is promoted by the Comune di Pistoia, Associazione Bluesin, and LEG Live Emotion Group.
