On the right side of the Reno Valley, on the border between Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna, lies Lagacci, a small village situated 710 metres above sea level and surrounded by lush woodland.
As you walk among the houses, you’ll notice numerous signs displaying proverbs and sayings, words of advice or gentle warnings for passersby. This playful tradition evokes memories of times past and, sign after sign, weaves a thread of collective memory that, in this borderland, remains proudly alive in the daily life of its inhabitants.
