From Piazza del Duomo in Pistoia to Abetone, in the Pistoia Mountains, through the Reno Valley: 50 km of history, art and nature — an experience renewed every year.
The Pistoia–Abetone Ultramarathon returns on Sunday, 28 June 2026, celebrating its 49th edition.
50 km (Pistoia–Abetone)
A legend for every runner: in 47 editions, only 10,353 athletes (including 1,188 women) have completed this demanding course.
949 men and 99 women have finished it at least five times.
To date, 700 runners have already registered, out of a maximum of 900.

30 km (Pistoia–San Marcello)
An ideal course for those training for an autumn marathon or planning to take on the 50 km in the future.
Over 200 registered participants to date.
Free Walking (San Marcello–Abetone, 20 km)
A walk that has become increasingly popular in recent years, with 200 participants in 2024.
It allows participants to complete the final kilometres of the race and receive a symbolic medal. Suitable for everyone.
Fourth Finish Line (Le Regine–Abetone, 3 km)
A route reserved for people with disabilities, their companions, and anyone who wishes to take part in this friendly and free walk.
Night Trek
A nighttime crossing from Rifugio Portafranca to Abetone (approximately 8 hours), for lovers of moonlit hiking, organized in collaboration with the Italian Alpine Club of Pistoia.
