Within the municipality of Abetone Cutigliano, in the heart of the Pistoiese Mountains, the Doganaccia Ski Area is a small, welcoming resort, ideal for families and for those taking their first steps on skis. It offers about 15 km of slopes, mainly easy and intermediate, with three runs lit for night skiing.
The area is equipped with mountain huts and refreshment points and provides a wide range of services, including equipment rental, ski school, guided excursions and snowshoeing. Visitors can also purchase local products at the small shop located at altitude.
The resort is easily reached from the historic centre of Cutigliano via a cable car that takes visitors directly to the slopes in about eight minutes. Alternatively, it can also be accessed by car via Cutigliano and the hamlet of Il Melo.
Once at altitude, the ski area features a lift system suitable for skiers of different skill levels. The Uno, Due, Tre and Quattro slopes are served by a triple chairlift, while the beginners’ area is equipped with a covered conveyor belt. A ski lift provides access to the Faggio di Maria, Direttissima, Raccordino, Panoramica, Angela and Chierroni runs.
In addition to alpine skiing, Doganaccia is also a popular destination for winter hiking: qualified guides lead visitors along routes immersed in the quiet of the snow-covered mountains. For a unique and engaging experience, guests can also join excursions by snowcat, reaching panoramic viewpoints and routes otherwise inaccessible, even in the evening.

Thanks to the Doganaccia 2000 theme park, the area offers opportunities for leisure and outdoor activities in every season, set against the evocative scenery of the Pistoiese Mountains.
