WWF nature reserve covering over 1,000 hectares in the Pistoia Apennines, at an altitude of 1,100 meters, where nature and sustainability converge.

Located in the municipality of San Marcello Piteglio, in the heart of the Pistoia Mountains, Oasi Dynamo is a WWF-affiliated nature reserve that spans over 1,000 hectares in the Tuscan Apennines, reaching up to 1,100 meters above sea level.

Once a hunting reserve, it is now a unique model in Italy of environmental sustainability and social responsibility, where wolves, deer, rare plants, and many other species live freely in harmony.

Access to the inner area of the Reserve is available only upon request and accompanied by certified environmental guides, or during activities organized by the Oasi, such as outdoor excursions, workshops, summer camps, and events designed to offer an authentic experience of nature. Seasonal access is allowed—generally from April to November—to the area of OCA – Oasy Contemporary Art and Architecture, located in a more easily reachable portion of the Reserve.

Within the Oasi is Dynamo Camp, a facility that provides free recreational therapy programs to children and adolescents affected by serious or chronic illnesses, neurodevelopmental disorders, or disabilities.

The Project

The Oasi Dynamo project is built on four pillars that work in synergy: research and education, art, hospitality, and agriculture.

Research and Education

Oasi Dynamo promotes research and education to deepen understanding of biodiversity and conservation practices. It offers students and researchers hands-on field experiences, such as wildlife monitoring and internships focused on the Apennine wolf, turning every activity into an opportunity for practical learning and environmental awareness.

OCA – Oasy Contemporary Art

OCA – Oasy Contemporary Art and Architecture is located in one of the most accessible areas of the Reserve and is open seasonally. Here, contemporary art and architecture engage in a harmonious dialogue with nature along a 1.5 km trail through the landscape. Site-specific installations by internationally renowned artists and architects transform the experience into a deep cultural immersion—enhancing the connection to the territory and making the Oasi a place of inspiration, reflection, and conservation.

From June 15 to November 7, 2025, OCA unveils a new outdoor itinerary, designed to become permanent and accessible through guided visits. Click here for more information.

Oasyhotel

Oasyhotel offers an immersive stay in nature, featuring lodges perfectly integrated into the landscape and refined comfort. The experience is enriched with outdoor activities, local tastings, and moments of relaxation—an approach to hospitality that combines quality, sustainability, and a deep connection to the land.

Agricultural Activity

Within the Oasi, there is also a certified organic farm with livestock and crops, representing a concrete example of sustainable agriculture.
